I'm going to try really hard to make this post not nearly as long winded as my last and stick to the highlights.

First off, the good news. I'm definitely going to be moving this site to ICDsoft. I was doing a lot of investigating and even ask their support team some questions. I got a response within 5 minutes at 11:30 at night. Turns out that I can make a request for SSH access. There is no extra cost and the request takes a few minutes to complete once I make my account. For $10/month for 50GB of storage and 500GB of monthly bandwidth plus all the extra features, I'm already sold. However, this is leading up to...

...the bad news. It completely slipped my mind that you can't transfer a newly registered domain to a different registrar for the first 60 days. So, for the moment, I'm going to live with 1and1 as my web host. It works out nicely for me, because I've been batshit busy this entire week. My shift at work ends at 7pm during the week and I'm finding myself exhausted once I get home. So exhausted that I pass out.

Anyway, I'm about to head off to bed. I spent this evening working on a bunch of projects I've been trying to get done. One was setting up my domain with Google Apps. Another was getting all of my e-mail accounts to foward incoming e-mails to my 'main' account on my domain, then automagically sort them. There were a few other projects in there, but the last was getting a quick Powerpoint slide drawn up for a presentation at Barcamp in 5 hours. :/

There's now a frontpage for the domain now. I did it up in gedit inside a few minutes. I'll be making changes both to this blog and other pages in the coming weeks. Anyways, I'm out.
